Questions
Is this legal advice?
No. It is a drafting tool. It suggests allergens from the text you type and you confirm them. You are responsible for every label you print. Check current rules with your state or local food regulator.
What does New York's law require?
From November 12, 2026, food establishments must label food they prepare, pack and sell on the same premises with a written notice of any of the nine major allergens. Read the plain-English guide.
What printer and labels do I need?
Any printer. Pick the size that matches your roll or sheet, set your printer to that size, and print at 100%. Sizes include 2.25 × 1.25 in, 3 × 2 in, 4 × 2 in, 4 × 6 in and an Avery 5163 style sheet.
Do I need an account?
No. What you type stays in your browser. We only receive an email address if you join the founding list.
Does it work outside New York?
Yes. Switch between the US list of nine major allergens and the UK and EU list of fourteen. The UK format always prints the full ingredient list with allergens in bold, as Natasha's Law requires for food pre-packed for direct sale.
How accurate is the allergen flagging?
It catches common ingredients and knows tricky cases like peanut butter versus dairy butter and coconut milk versus milk. It cannot see hidden allergens in "natural flavors", spices or chocolate, so it warns you and leaves the decision to you.
